Top 10 Wrestlers Who Could Dethrone Brock Lesnar

via Flickr - Amar sharma

October 4th, 2019 will go down in wrestling history as, possibly, one of the worst ending championship reigns to exist every since Goldberg took Kevin Owens title in 2017! Why was it so bad? Google it. Seriously, just google, "Brock Lesnar beats Kofi Kingston. Kofi-mania was such a feel good moment for nearly every wrestling fan and for Brock to win in, from bell to bell, 9 seconds. There is a long list of those who pushed Lesnar to his limit, but I'm not doing that list. Like the title says, there are the top ten wrestlers on the WWE main roster who could dethrone Brock Lesnar.

1.    AJ Styles

2017 Survivor Series was a shock to everyone when, instead of Jinder Mahal, AJ Styles strolled into the Toyota Center as the WWE Champion. A match that went from 0% interest, except maybe to see Jinder Mahal be murdered, to a high profile match between the Phenomenal One and the Beast Incarnate. Now, for the first seven minutes, Styles is battered and beaten before the then babyface mounts a comeback. The final nine and a half minutes are trading shots between the two and it is an amazing match. Now, you have a heel Styles with the likes of the OC behind him. Can you imagine those two being involved and low blows galore? Perfect to get some of the mojo back that AJ seems to have lost.

2.    Aleister Black

While maybe not quite as seasoned in the WWE as many would like for a title picture, Aleister Black is hands down one of the best strikers in the WWE today. Every strike looks like it’s going to knock your head off or knock you out entirely. Think back to the Monday Night Raw after Extreme Rules where Aleister Black took on Cesaro. That final Black Mass, which Cesaro sold like a champ by spitting out his mouthpiece, looked killer. A few kicks to the face and the Beast could be kicked to the curb.

3.    Andrade

Kind of another interesting choice because you’ve got Zelina Vega as the wild card in this. Now, it would require Brock to either take a Hurricanrana from Vega, or absolutely obliterate her on the outside. Either way, she serves as a distraction to Brock costing him the title to El Idolo.

4.    Bobby Lashley

Why hasn’t this happened yet? Wasn’t it when Bobby Lashley returned to WWE in 2018, the entire hype behind him was that he was going to take the title from Brock when Roman Reigns failed the night before at Wrestlemania 34? Why did this never happen? He was hugely over until they put him in that God awful Sami Zayn feud. Now, he’s in a terrible cucking angle with Lana and Rusev. Why?

5.    Rusev

Speaking of the Bulgarian Brute, is there a single competitor more over than Rusev? He’s been over with the WWE Universe ever since Rusev Day began and it weirdly felt as if he was punished for how over he got. Let him finish off Lashley with some dumb reconciliation with Lana and then challenge Brock for the title.

6.    Drew McIntyre

The Chosen One, according to Vince McMahon when he, technically, debuted a second time on WWE in 2009, he was a scrawny looking dork of a man back then. Fast forward ten years and I’m terrified to even think about ending up in a dark alley way against this man. Beefed up, brutal, and absolutely belligerent, Drew McIntyre is the Scottish Equivalent of Brock Lesnar and needs to face him. This is, among all the people on this list, the most logical way to go or Drew is going to lose a lot of credibility.

7.    Seth Rollins

I’ll keep this one short and sweet. He’s already done it twice, he’s getting ready, it seems, to have a heel persona… Give him a shot to make it a third time? It seems like something Vince would do though.

8.    Kevin Owens

While this is probably very unbelievable a winner as any on this list, Kevin Owens would definitely be the black horse underdog of this feud. Seemingly over with his retread of the Steve Austin persona, you could argue that his behavior warrants a bigger program than the Rollins heel turn, especially after beating Shane McMahon and taking that storyline to the dump.

9.    Ricochet

Alongside Aleister Black, Ricochet seems too green to be awarded this opportunity. However, must like 70% of this list, Ricochet has held a title on the main roster. Having defeated the final person on this list at Stomping Grounds, Ricochet won the title and thus stamped his name as United States Champion, before losing it to the first person on this list.

10.    Samoa Joe

Great Balls of Fire, Summerslam 2017, The Greatest Royal Rumble; these are three pay per views where Samoa Joe challenged for a title and lost. Interestingly enough, the man is still over! Why? His in ring technique is unmatched by any one even close to the main roster or NXT. Samoa Joe is a beast that could easily beat the beast if properly pushed. Why isn’t he? One could argue he is plagued with injury. Multiple injuries have kept Samoa Joe out of commission for months and months on end. However, if he could stay healthy, he is a machine that could easily put the Beast to sleep.

That's my list of the top ten superstars that could dethrone the Beast. I don't understand why they would give it back to Brock. He's a Beast, yes and a major draw, but the guy has two moves and he isn't very versatile. So, be on the lookout for The Fiend's next.
